The PRO 700 DX 3-way pan head is truly revolutionary because of its unique quick release system, one of the fastest and easiest to use in the industry. SLIK design genius created a circular quick release plate that can be secured to the tripod with the camera pointing in any direction, making attaching your camera (once the SLIK quick release plate is attached) more intuitive than most other heads. Made from solid, precision-machined aluminum this all-metal head has the strength and durability to handle up to a 4x5 field camera or a long telephoto lens such as a 300 f/2.8 or 80-200 f/2.8 zoom lens. Squared off or angled plates are traditional. This style of quick release plate allows the camera to be attached, in one, or at most two positions. The round SLIK quick release plate speeds the mounting of the camera to the head meaning you can be ready to shoot in less time.
